Plamacon industry which is 100% subsidiary of Chrikar Trading is a manufacturer of roasted sesame, tahini and halva mainly for bakeries but also for the catering and the retail market. The industrial premises are owned and are located at Kaimakli industial zone. Is the most equipped industry of its kind in Cyprus. The factory operates with the minimum staff due to high automation and is following the most strict hygienic production rules.

Chrikar Trading, owns an olive processing plant which is located at Anglissides village, 20 minutes away from Nicosia. A lot of varieties of olives are processed for the retail, bakery and catering market. Marketing and distribution is done by Chrikar.

The company due to the accession of Cyprus into the E.U has a lot of opportunities to expand into new products never touched before because of the high import duties. The possibility of a solution to the Cyprus problem will enable the company to expand into a new market area within the Northen Cyprus.

This gives a rare opportunity to our Sesame factory, as products like, tahina, halva and sesame are highly consumed in the Northen part of Cyprus. We have already tested our quality and prices to competitive products produced in the North part of Cyprus and indeed we are very competitive.

Chrikar Trading Ltd, Plamacon (Sesame Factory) and The King of Olives (Olive processing ) are certified ISO 9001 and ISO 22000. Plamacon is also certified with the BRC standard.
