VISA Application

1) For students coming for a semester, year or joining/transferring to the school

If you are not a citizen of a European Union member country, Andorra, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Monaco, Norway or Switzerland then you must apply for a visa to study in France.
If you are coming for less than 6 months you will be issued a multiple entry visa for the duration of your studies. If you are coming for more than 6 months then you will be issued a "visa long séjour pour études". This visa requires that you apply for a residence card once you arrive. If you are living in Paris you will apply for the residence card on campus.

NO VISA WILL BE GRANTED BY FRENCH CONSULATES IN THE UNITED STATES WITHOUT ENROLLMENT TO CAMPUSFRANCE.

To register with CampusFrance, go to www.usa.campusfrance.org in the English version. Read carefully “the study abroad students” section and follow the procedure. Disregard the section “studying in France” (red box on the homepage) since you already have been accepted in a program in France.

Once you have registered with Campus France, they will ask you to send the letter of acceptance from The American Business School and the Campus France fee.
Officially the Campus France registration takes 2 weeks. However at busy times of the year it can take up to 4 weeks. Register early. Once you get the approval from Campus France you must apply for your visa which is usually granted within 3 to 5 working days at the nearest French consulate

Please check all the requirements carefully on the French consulate website.  Some requirements may vary from a consulate to another and you may have to go personally.
If you are an international student in the United States, you can either apply in the US (some additional documents may be required) or in your nativecountry. If you are not American we strongly advise you to examine the requirements for student visa application on the French Embassy site of your home country and provide those also.

2) For students coming for the summer program

If you are coming for the summer program, you should apply for a "visa court séjour pour études" directly to the nearest French consulate. As you will be coming for less than 3 months you do not need to register with Campus France.
If you are an international student in the United States, you can either apply in the US (some additional documents may be required) or in your home country. If you are not American we strongly advise you to check out the requirements for student visa application on the French Embassy site of your home country and provide those also.
Some requirements may vary from a Consulate to another and you may have to go personally. It takes a few days to get the visa but we encourage students to apply early (not earlier than 90 days prior to the departure).

Housing

The campus has no student housing or residences. Thus The American Business School assists the international students in finding housing.  We offer options in shared apartment. Count 600 Euros-700 Euros per month.
